Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information

1. Who We Are

Mabe Steel, Inc. ("Mabe Steel," "we," or "us") is a structural steel erection company in Kernersville, North Carolina. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on our website, mabesteel.com (the "Site"), and how we use and protect it.

Please read Section 11, which explains how cookies and tracking technologies work on the Site and how we ask for your consent.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Give Us

When you fill out our contact form or reach out to us, we collect what you send — for example, your name, email address, phone number, company name, address, and your message.

When you apply for a job through our careers section, we collect what we need to review your application. Depending on the role, that may include your name, contact details, address, resume, cover letter, and work history. For jobs that require driving, it may also include your driver's license number, your CDL status, and a photo of your license. We treat application information as sensitive and handle it as described in Section 6.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Site, we may collect technical information through cookies and similar tools (see Section 11). This includes your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the links you click, your approximate location (from your IP address), and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this non-essential information only with your consent.

2.3 Information From Analytics Tools

With your consent, we use third-party tools to understand how people use the Site. Some of these tools may record on-page activity such as clicks, scrolling, and cursor movement. Section 10 describes these tools. They collect this information on our behalf, as our service providers, and we are a party to those interactions.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your questions, quote requests, and messages;
  • review job applications and contact applicants;
  • run, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • understand how visitors use the Site (with your consent);
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems;
  • meet our legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
  • serve any other purpose we tell you about when we collect the information.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it:

  • with service providers that work on our behalf — such as website hosting, security, analytics, communications, mapping, video, and recruiting — under contracts that limit them to working for us;
  • for legal or safety reasons, when we believe it is needed to follow the law, respond to a lawful request, protect our rights or property, or protect someone's safety;
  • as part of a business deal, such as a merger, sale of assets, or financing; and
  • with your consent or at your direction.

5. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Information for Advertising

Mabe Steel does not sell your personal information. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) and similar state laws. We do not run targeted ads on the Site, and we do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

6. Job-Applicant and Sensitive Information

We use job-application information — including, where applicable, driver's license numbers, license photos, and CDL status — only for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and legal compliance. That means reviewing applications, confirming qualifications and eligibility to work, and contacting applicants. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell or share it, and only staff who need it can access it.

Employment application information is generally retained for up to three years, or longer where required by law, regulatory obligations, litigation holds, or legitimate business necessity. After that, we delete or de-identify it. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect this information.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is meant for a general business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us (Section 14) and we will delete it.

8. Security, Retention, and What Not to Send

We keep personal information only as long as we need it — to do what this Policy describes, meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it. No website or storage method is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank or payment-card details, medical information, or other highly sensitive information through Site forms unless we specifically ask for it.

9. Embedded Content and Links

The Site includes embedded content (such as maps and videos) and links to other websites, including our social-media pages. Embedded content can act as if you visited that other site directly and may collect information about you. Other websites we link to have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to run, secure, and improve the Site. Depending on the page, these may include providers for hosting, content delivery and security, website analytics and optimization, communications and email, recruiting, mapping, and embedded video — including but not limited to those categories. Some analytics tools may record on-page activity such as clicks, scrolling, and cursor movement to help us understand how the Site is used. We may add, change, or remove providers over time.

These providers may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and how you use the Site. Embedded maps and videos may set cookies and collect information about how you interact with them. We use these providers only as our service providers, working on our behalf, under terms that limit how they can use the information. Each one has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.

11. Cookies, Tracking, and Consent

We use cookies and similar technologies in two groups:

  • Strictly necessary — needed for the Site to work. These are always on and do not require consent.
  • Non-essential — the analytics, session-analytics, mapping, and video tools described in Section 10.

Your consent. We load non-essential cookies and tracking technologies only after you accept them using the cookie banner on the Site. Until you accept, these tools do not load and do not send any information. You can change or withdraw your choices anytime by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the footer, and you can also manage cookies in your browser. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals where the law requires. Because the law about browser "Do Not Track" signals is still unsettled, the Site does not currently respond to them.

Calls, texts, and email. If you give us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry or application by phone, text, or email. We do not send automated marketing messages without your separate, express consent. For texts, message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consent is not a condition of any purchase or of employment. You can opt out of non-essential messages anytime — reply STOP to texts, use the unsubscribe link in emails, or contact us (Section 14).

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights:

  • to know or access the personal information we hold about you;
  • to correct information that is wrong;
  • to delete your information, with some legal exceptions;
  • to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information (note: we do not sell or share it); and
  • to not be treated differently for using your rights.

California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Residents of other states with privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut) may have similar rights. To use any right, contact us (Section 14). We will verify your request as the law requires and respond within the required time. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

13. Visitors Outside the United States

We operate the Site in the United States for users in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
